Burma

Burma - The Campaign for Northern Burma, March-August, 1944, covers the 1944 campaigns beginning with the Japanese "U-Go" offensive and ending up as what would be known as Imphal-Kohima, the most dramatic defeat ever inflicted on a Japanese army.

OCS Game 4-06, first published in 1999, second edition published in 2008. Designer: David Friedrichs. 2 full-size maps, 2 countersheets (plus marker sheet), scale is 1 hex = 5 mi/8 km. The scope of the game covers 45 turns, from 5 March 1944 until 1 August 1944.

Comparing the two editions: The map and counters (except markers) are identical. The markers are the only real difference. The 1999 game had OCS v2.0 rules, whereas the second edition used version 4.0. Playing the first edition with the latest downloaded ruleset and either adjusting for the markers or using a set from another OCS title works fine.
